Shipping Fish: We prefer to ship out of state fish orders air cargo. With air cargo you pick the fish up at the air cargo office at the closest major airport. The air cargo offices are not at the main terminal but close to the airport, making it easy and fast to pick them up. This is the fastest and safest method of shipping! It's same day shipping. 55.00 flat rate shipping charge applies to all US air cargo orders. Live arrival guaranteed on all air cargo shipments.
If you are too far from the airport we can ship smaller orders FedEx or UPS overnight or USPS priority mail. 55.00 flat rate shipping charge applies to all out of state shipments. Live arrival guaranteed on all FedEx and UPS overnight and USPS Priority mail shipments except Tanganyikan Cichlids. Air cargo is the method of choice for Tanganyikans, and all fish are guaranteed.
Phoenix and the rest of Arizona: Shipping small orders to the Phoenix metro area is only a flat rate of 15.00, via priority mail. It usually arrives in less than 24 hours. All other areas in Arizona beyond 200 miles from Tucson the charge is 25.00.
Canada: All orders shipped to Canada must be shipped air cargo and only to a major airport. The flat rate shipping charge is $75.00 USD. Once they arrive you have to pay the Canadian handler 60.00-70.00, plus a small custom fee depending on how large the order is. For example with a $180.00 USD order of fish to Calgary a 9.00 custom fee was charged. No permits are required. To avoid the handler fees and only pay $55.00 for shipping you have an option of picking them up at a US major airport and bringing them over the border. That will save you up to 95.00 right off the top, you still have to pay the small customs fee, e.g., if you are in Toronto you may pick them up in Buffalo.
Live arrival is guaranteed
only if shipped with our choice of carrier and routes and the

Local Pick up: An appointment is necessary for local pickup, please call just before you come by. We are not a pet store and are not set up for people to drop by unannounced.
Unpacking Your Fish Order: Do Not Trickle Water Into The Bag! Float bags until temperature is equal in the bag and the tank. This will change the pH and cause the nitrate and or ammonia levels to rise and become toxic to the fish, possibly poisoning them right in the bag! Open the bag and pour fish through a net and then place them in the clean tank. Do not put the packing water into the clean tank, discard the packing water. Shipped fish are stressed and weak, do not put in an established tank with larger and or more aggressive tank mates.
