Customer service was a breeze. I've had many fish shipped, and this was by far the best. It's always a concern when shipping a large fish. Spines can puncture bags with ease. These came insulated and with heat packs. Double bagged with thick plastic bags and packaged just right to minimize movement. 
Buying a show male sight unseen can be a bit nerve wracking. I explained to them what I was looking for and they delivered. Mr. Humpty McHumphead is a fine specimen. I look forward to doing business with you all again.

Received a shipment of fish last night from Alan Bradley Bliven at Cichlid lovers. This was my first time doing business with him and he completely surpassed my expectations. I got my fish this morning.  They all look great and healthy. They even ate after a couple hours of settling in. Thank you for the extra maleri and azures. Im stocking a 150, so Ill likely place another order in a few months after these guys get established and get a bit larger.  By the way, I noticed tube worms in a few of the bags.  I've never heard of shipping fish with food for the ride. Is this something you do often?  Not complaining, just curious.  The albus gobbled them up shortly after being introduced into the tank.

Good Morning,

I recently placed an order for (5) female Otter Point Cichlids. I received them at DCA yesterday afternoon. They were received on time and the package looked to be in good condition. Once I got home, I unpacked the fish and noticed that they were in good health and the correct size. I acclimated them to the tank and released them per the provided instructions. Having never purchased from you in the past, I was a little nervous. However, I am very impressed with everything from the shipping and packaging to the fish in general. I made an unboxing video and posted it to my YouTube account. I shared it with the Capital Cichlid Association (our local aquarium association), African Cichlids Worldwide (Facebook), and Tank Talk (Facebook). Even though I do not have very many followers, I hope that this brings you good exposure and increased sales. Thanks again for the fish and see my link below for the video if you are interested.

I am originally from California and never had problems with finding the fish I like. But now that I live in Las Cruces New Mexico there is literally nothing around here for hundreds of miles besides Petco and PetSmart and the like. Cichlid lovers is the 1st place I've ever done business with as far as getting them shipped. And I don't feel that I will have any reason to go elsewhere. The preparation and care for the fish we're just as specified. The fish are beautiful and exactly as advertised, if not better. Thank you Alan for all your help. I picked up my order in El Paso yesterday and today they are eating well and have most of their color back. I will be contacting you in about a month or so for another order.    Richard

Alan.  I can't begin to tell how incredibly beautiful the haps and peacocks are.  The pick up at the airport was smooth.  The fish were packaged well and getting them in the tank was easy.  Some are easily larger than the 3" you quoted.  I fed them 2 hours in and all took some bites.  I fed them this morning and they all look lively with stunning colors.  I will wait 3-4 weeks as you suggested before I place an order for the other 16 or so.   Please feel free to use this email as a testimonial to your customer service and quality of stock.  Thank you.

I am impressed!  I ordered 3 Victorian cichlids, zebra oblins.  Victorians are hard to find....but, I am impressed with the large selection you have, and the quality.   They were advertised at 3.5 inches and were every bit.  The fish arrived extremely well packaged, healthy, colorful and vibrant.   They adapted immediately to my large densely populated tank with Malawi peacocks, Mbuna and other Victorians.   I've had a horror story with other online vendors, but I will absolutely do business with you guys again.   I only buy fish from 2 vendors, and I will ONLY buy my Victorians from cichlidlovers.  Great fish, great prices, great packaging and great service.   Thank you, keep up the great work.

It was a very long and suspenseful 12 hours waiting on the fishes to possibly arrive sometime yesterday.  As I monitored the final flight they were manifested on, it kept being delayed every 10 minutes to a later departure time.  In the end they didn't even come in on the flight they were supposed to be manifested on in fact it was an hour later at 1:09 AM central time BUT after the sight of my new kids all healthy, it made me immediately forget how long I was waiting and suffering.  
  First of all thank you Lynette for taking time to track and ease my anxiety as I was a rookie for a moment with ordering fishes from you.  Alan and Jr. you packed those kids like they would be stranded in the boxes for a week.  I loved it because it took more time getting the rubber bands off the bags (yes I'm a hoarder, I keep the bags and any serviceable rubber bands) than putting kids to bed.
  The bushy nose pelecos blew my mind.  Right away the males were already establishing dominance over a single spot in their tank.  I always remember when I saw yours Alan when I visited you back in late November 2000.  I saw you Alan Jr. as a young boy and now you're all grown up and filling/shipping my order almost 13 years later...time certainly flies.   
  I have always been highly impressed with your stellar stock and service.  Now, I am beyond grateful to pay for premium professional service and stock...most important it rekindled my passion for the hobby thanks to the awesome Cichlid Lovers Family.
  I retired from the military almost 9 years ago and the funny thing is I was always on the road fighting wars between disruptive countries around the world but managed to maintain 75 tanks and 3 ponds.  The day after I retired from the Air Force, I started working for Boeing Aerospace Company funny thing is although I never travel I significantly reduced my involvement in the hobby.  I am truly excited about getting back into it thanks to you.

Just wanted to let you know I picked up the fish Thursday at 6pm CST. Got them home and every one of them seemed in excellent condition with the exception of the Julidochromis marlieri who were alive but extremely sluggish. Got all of the other fish in the tank, and placed the Julidochromis marlieri in an isolation cage for about 20 minutes, they perked up and then they were released into the tank as well.  I BROUGHT HOME A NICE 60 GAL. OCEANIC, EVEN TRADE, (ANOTHER NICE PLACE TO BUY)

 MY CHALLENGE WAS TO SET IT UP AND CYCLE WATER IN TIME FOR MY NEW FISH.

 USING OLD WATER AND SAME BIO FILTER AND SAND PLUS MY STAND BY (PRIME) ALL WENT WELL.

 I JUST WANT TO SAY LYNN , THAT IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOUR EXPERTISE WAY OF PACKING I MAY NOT HAVE BEEN SO FORTUNATE.

 THEY LASTED ALL DAY TODAY, LAST FISH CYCLED ABOUT 5:00 PM

  I ALSO LIKE THE WAY YOU EQUALLY DIVIDED MY MULTIFASCIATUS, SAVED ME TIME.

All 10 Tropheus moorii received at airport, floated for 45 minutes, and netted into tank. They all looked perfect, not even a shredded fin, and began foraging for algae immediately.  No rapid breathing, nothing.  They look like they've been there for years!

The order went well.  All the fish was picked up at 3pm Saturday.  The water was a bit cold but all the fish was alive except one DOA emerald fire.  I did not expect to get extra on the Lwanda, Flametail, and boops.  Thank you so much.
 
I am doing another order soon with the other fellow.  The person who came a long way to pick up the fish this time was very happy.  Let me tell you this, he drove 3 hours to catch a ferry, 2 hours on the ferry ride, then 30 minutes to my house, then same way to go back.  We had to add a couple more heat pack after we picked up the fish for the 5.5 hours ride back home for him.  But you should see his face when he received your fish.

Just a note to let you know I picked up my order today and it was great.  The pickup at the airport was much faster and easier than I anticipated.  The fish were still in good color when they arrived and did not seem to be stressed.  They had an easy transition to my tank and were even eating with the rest of my motley crew only two hours after being transferred.  This was my first online shipped order and it was a good experience.  I'll be back for more.

Alan, the fish did not arrive until after 11PM, about 33 hours after drop-off, but much to my amazement, they were all ALIVE!  The fish are somewhat stressed out and don’t have much color, but I think that they’ll be fine since they have now been in the tank for about 12 hours. – Speaking of “fine”, those daffodils are awesome, and I really do appreciate your selling them to me.  I give you my word that we will take great care of all of the fish....

Alan, I was trying to call you to see if the eels were sent out on Friday, and to my surprise the call came from the airport that the package is here!  By 3:30 they were in the big tank. I never check the condition of the fish at the airport, but when I opened the box at home they were all swimming quite actively and you could tell the two which were elpsifers buy there saying together   I have one question if you could answer ASAP, are these eels able to feed after the lights are totally off because all my fish eat so fast there may not be enough left for them to get there share and build up strength.  Thanks for the fast action and the way you packed them, first class all the way. I just wanted to say that my transaction with Cichlid Lovers (www.cichlidlovers.com) worked out extremely well.  The fish I have received (aside from some shipping stress in two of the six leleupis, awaiting outcome) are of excellent size and color and show no signs of fin deterioration or any other malady.  Most of the fish are larger than advertised, and there was not a single hitch in the transaction.
 
A group of six Cyprichromis leptosoma "Bulu Point" appears to be one male and 5 females, but what a happy male he shall be, eh?
