No Book but the Bible
Revelation 22:18-19
For I testify unto every man that
heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these
things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if
any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall
take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from
the things which are written in this book.
The Bible is THE complete revelation of Jesus Christ. There is no need to
add any of our thoughts to it or take any part of it away, to do so will cause
one to be taken out of the book of life and have the plagues in here added to
you.
The Bible is the absolute, it is perfect in itself, and unlimited in it's power.
The only way to please God is to believe His Word the Bible.
The Bible is the blueprint from which all must be built from.
Every revelation, sensation, Voice, experience, vision, prophet, ministry,
church, gift, word must match the blueprint from Gen - Rev.
The Bible is the complete divine revelation of the will of God. There is no
other book or tapes that can match it or compare to it.
Every question should be taken back to the Bible.
Any spirit that tries to pull you away from the Bible is not of God.
The Bible is the elect's King, their Head, their Husband. To have relations with
any other is spiritual fornication.
The Bible is the anchor of our ship. No matter how much the storms of unbelief
hit against us, if we are anchored in the rock, it can not sink us.
The Bible is our North Star and the Holy Spirit is our compass. if you are lost
at sea, the compass only points to the North Star. Other stars shift in their
positions.
Every true ministry of God will always point you to the Bible. Bro Branham
didn't make tapes and write books to make new doctrine or start a new church.
those books and tapes are to point us back to the Bible and have a better
understanding of it!
The Bible never changes. Heaven and earth will pass away but God's Word shall
never change.
The Bible is the umpire. He is the ultimate authority at the game. Every game
needs an umpire or it would be chaos.
The Bible is the traffic light. It is the king of the streets. When it says
stop, you better stop! When it says go, you better go!
The Bible is THE Truth. Sin is unbelief of the Bible. "Thy Word is Truth."
The Bible is the "Holy Bible" not the "Holey Bible" as many make it by cutting
out parts and making it "holey."
The Word is powerful! Jesus was at the grave of Lazarus and spoke three Words to
him, "Lazarus come forth."
It is the Husband of the Bride. Jesus said, "If you love me you'll keep my
Words."
The Bible is our provider. "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word
that comes from God's Mouth." "His Words are sweeter than honey to the mouth."
The Bible is our protector. A sharp two edged sword that will defeat Satan every
time if handled with the strong arm of faith.
The Bible is our leader. It is a lamp unto our feet in the midnight hour of dark
unbelief.
The Bible is our strength. The Bride is the weaker vessel that leans on the Man.
The Bible is our security. It shows us who we are in Christ. And that nothing
can separate us from Him.
The Bible is our friend and lover. "if any man love me, he will keep my Words
and my father will love him and we will come to him and make our abode with
him."
Obedience to the Bible entitles us to the Token, the Life of the Blood of
Christ, the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
The Bible is life. Jesus said, "my words are Spirit and they are life."
Am I suggesting the message is irrelevant since we require... No book but the
Bible?
Oh no, the message is relevant for me to be able to read the Bible and
understand it correctly. Man has messed up it's meaning starting in the early
age of Paul and it got at it's worst in the dark ages of the Roman Catholic
domination of the church and with it's law that forbid the laity from even
reading the Bible.
God said, "I will restore..." What is to be restored? The original Word back to
it's true meaning. The message isn't the sole source of restoration though. The
Lord started with Luther and has used many men of God with messages since. But I
do believe the message climaxed that restoration by taking the loose ends that
these other messages didn't tie up and finally the Lord has tied up all the
loose ends of the Bible where men's carnal understanding messed it up to the
people.
But I don't believe the message is a new Bible nor is it to be used as
scripture, nor is it to start new doctrines from. Once we understand the message
is to restore us back to the original Word and the original church, we should be
and act like the original.
What relationship do the seven seals, the Church age book, & other message books
have in relation to the Bible?
The climax of the Message was the opening of the seals which revealed many
mysteries of the Bible that were hid since the foundation of the world. But if
such a great event was going to take place the Bible would have to speak of it
and it does. The church ages are nothing new, it is the revelation of Bible
mysteries. Much of the Bible is written in mysteries that were promised to be
restored in the last days and we seen it happen before our very eyes. Without
the message there is no way for me to understand the Bible correctly. God does
things in His ways, and to be in His program we must follow His way. The message
is part of this restoration.
There is no competition between the Bible and the message. The message is the
magnifying glass that allows us to see much of the Bible clearly and read
between the lines with proper understanding. I am not saying not to read any
other books but the Bible. But the Bible is THE Book that all others point to.
Does having the message disperse with having the Bible?
Absolutely not! If one has a proper understanding of the message, one can see
that the purpose of the message is the restoration of the original Word. I
believe it is good to study the message but as we get a better understanding of
what the message says as regards to the interpretation of the Bible, it would be
better to read, study, quote and preach more from the Bible. The message's main
purpose is to make the Bible clearer. Once that happens more and more we should
be in the Bible more often. Because of the message we can preach the Bible, read
it, study it, quote it with a true understanding. But it must be the MAIN book,
THE Book in our lives.
When a sermon is almost nothing but "Bro Branham saids," or someone else said's,
it shows me at best the people are still immature in the message by still trying
to find the Bible's meanings via the message or someone else. I love to hear
quotes but people should understand what they are for.
There comes a time we must mature and stop hanging on Bro Branham's coat tails
and catch the vision of what the message is. Elisha was promised a double
portion of Elijah's Spirit. After Elijah went on, God had to become the God of
Elisha, not just the God of Elijah. He went down to the Jordan and struck the
river with Elijah's mantle that had fallen to him and screamed, "WHERE IS THE
GOD OF ELIJAH?" The Bride of this day is promised a double portion and must do
the same, "WHERE IS THE GOD OF BRO BRANHAM?" Another purpose of the message was
to bring the God of the Bible alive and up to date to not just stop at being the
God of William Branham but the God of you and the God of me and the rest of us
as well. It's going to take a double portion to make the rapture. And not that
we will have a greater ministry as far as gifts and healings than Bro Branham
but this is an evil age and we need more grace to make it through.
